Included with every Kal-OS computer installation, there is a program called K-Stamps and a service called Kal-Stamps. These two features works together and make things work seamlessly. You would setup an account with Kal-Stamps, and add funds. You would then use the K-Stamps application to provide the recipient address, and print the postage automatically. The charge comes out of the Kal-Stamps account, and therefore paid for. All Kal-Stamps postage has automatic tracking. This allows the recipient to be notified when there is a letter to be delivered to their address. They will have to sign up for Post-Notifications before they can receive this email. The author of the letter will also be able to see where the letter is. This is because all Kal-Stamps envelope will have a tracking number built into the QR-Code that acts as the postage stamp.
Kal-Stamps will cost $10/month, and is completely voluntary. Other than your monthly rate, you would just pay for the postage, and services added. When you choose to add services, these required lettering will be printed directly on the envelope. For example, certified letters will have the certified letter code printed on top of the letter between the return address, and stamp. Priority/Express and International mail will have the appropriate “label” printed on them from below the return address.
In addition to printing postage directly on an envelope. There will also be a label that the customer can buy. These labels will affix all of the information needed for Priority or Express mail envelopes, or packaging boxes. The envelopes are of sufficient size to hold sheets of paper without folding them. This could be valuable for legal documents. The label is selected, and the information is printed on the label. The label will then be affixed to the box on the back of the envelope.
Kal-Stamps will also have software available for Linux (Debian Based), MacOS, and Windows. This will function in the same way that Kal-Stamps in Kal-OS will function. This is to allow the person living in Kaldus to choose the best OS for them rather than being forced to use Kal-OS for their stamps software.
